The LG KF700 touchscreen slider made its appearance at Mobile World Congress 2008 and we had a chance to briefly play with the device. The pseudo-haptic feedback is helpful, but it generally reminds us of how lacking these vibration-feedback mechanisms have so far turned out. The entire device vibrates to indicate a button press, rather than localizing the vibration to the particular button that has been pressed. Helpful? Barely.

One of the key draws of the LG KF700 is the full-body touchscreen. Unfortunately, we’re still seeing the old-school pressure-sensitive touchscreen, but hey, at least its huge. Menu and UI operation is intuitive and fast (again marked by pseudo-haptic feedback) and the slide-out keypad is a definite plus.

It’s too bad this thing is a tri-band jobby, intended to pull duty in Europe. Otherwise, we might have some fun playing with this thing every now and then.
