With so many people using Google web services these days, it doesn’t surprise to see a growing number of mobile apps designed to help users take pieces of the “G experience” with them.

CalSync60That being said, we’ve recently spotted a free application called CalSync60, which allows Symbian S60 device owners to sync their phones with their Google Calendar.

Sure, you can still use GooSync (which I personally use) or some of the Java ME based solutions (GCalSync) we’ve seen in the past. This is yet another, possibly “more native” way to do the same thing. It’s quite easy to use – open the app, set your Google username and password, and you’re ready to go.

There is a downside though. CalSync60 is still in beta and it is recommended to backup calender before use. In addition, some calendar features like recurring events are not supported at this stage. However, the next release is scheduled for mid-May when CalSync60 should be ready for prime time. Or at least very close to that point… In the meantime, if you want to give CalSync60 a try, here’s the direct download link.

Currently calsync60 doesn’t support personal domains (ie @gmail.com only). Hopefully support for personal domains will come soon.
