Back in December, we saw Google releasing the iPhone-optimized version of its Picasa Web Albums service. Now they’ve decided to address even larger market – those with Windows Mobile devices.
At the moment, they are talking about touchscreen-enabled WinMo 6 devices only, but soon, I guess, users with the non-touchscreen (Standard Edition) devices will be able to use the service as well.
Important thing to note is that Picasa Web Albums works with recently announced Google Gears for Windows Mobile, giving you an option to view selected albums offline. In addition, Gears also lets you add a Picasa icon to your Program Files folder so you can access your photos even faster.
Want to give it a try? Simply point WinMo’s Internet Explorer to picasaweb.google.com and take it from there.
