RIM BlackBerry 8330 Curve now available on Verizon WirelessWait, since when does Verizon Wireless actually release a new handset ahead of schedule? Perhaps the No. 2 wireless carrier in the US realized that Verizon customers already have to wait long enough for the hot new handsets to filter down to the CDMA ecosystem – they might as well launch the BlackBerry Curve 8330 ahead of its previously scheduled May 9 release. The BlackBerry 9000 may be taking more than its fair share of the limelight in BlackBerry circles recently, but the release of the BlackBerry Curve on Verizon Wireless is definitely worth considering.

Verizon Wireless is offering the RIM BlackBerry 8330 Curve with its 2 megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, EVDO data connection, GPS receiver, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and microSD card slot for about $170 (after 2-year contract and rebates). Of course, the usual compliment of Verizon-branded services like VCAST TV and VZ Navigator will be made available on the Silver-colored BlackBerry 8330 Curve.

If you’ve been waiting to get your push-email fix with the Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Curve 8330, head on over to Big Red’s website and get that sweet, sweet BlackBerry love.
