Microsoft’s Managing Director of ODM Embedded Devices for the Asian market, Eddie Wu, has said that by the summer of 2012 the company hopes to have 40% of the global smartphone market. In 2007 Microsoft only managed to reach 13% of the market according to Canalys. Unless they start giving away Windows Mobile I don’t really see how this is going to work, anyone care to chime in on this?
