Zoltan from CellPhoneSoft just informed me about his new product, BigBen. The simple application is designed to protect Symbian UIQ3 (Sony Ericsson, Motorola) smartphone owners from accidental use by locking keys, while displaying a large digital or analog clock. Sounds like an iPhone, especially when you add background images to the mix.

Still, BigBen goes beyond that, allowing users to set hourly chimes and even make their phone look and sound like the famous tower clock in London. In addition, the program can also display visible and audible reminders for unattended events, like call or SMS.

What more can I say? BigBen is one of those small utilities you’ll use on a daily basis. It costs roughly 10 EUR and a free trial is naturally available.
