Coronation Street

Porting a TV quiz/show to mobile screens seems like a good idea for mobile game publishers. Following the success of Deal Or No Deal mobile game, it’s understandable other TV quizzers want to follow the suit.

Apparently, AT New Media has teamed up with ITV’s Granada Ventures division, a deal that will make the licensing agency in charge of assigning various of ITV’s TV brands for interactive games on various platforms.

Shows include are Corrie, Emmerdale, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Take Away, Thunderbirds and the Carry On films. Coronation Street is also on the list, making us think we’ll see the popular British soap opera hitting mobile screens at some point in the future. Considering the fact it’s one of the longest-running television shows in the UK, it will be interesting to see what kind of response it gets once it’s released…
