RIM don’t want to miss with the BlackBerry Bold. They want to cover every single detail of the device, ringtones included. That being said they’ve commissioned former drummer for The Police, Stewart Copeland, to create an array of “smartphone soundtrack” for the BlackBerry Bold.
Copeland has creating a unique five-note melody “theme” for the just-launched smartphone, which was later expanded into a percussive minute-long track simply named “Bold” that’s preloaded into the device’s “Sample Songs” folder. In addition, a softer version with a fade-in is used as an “alarm tone”, while six variations (excerpts form various parts of the Bold theme) are available as ringtones.
