In a move that follows Best Buy in the US, Best Buy Mobile in Canada has announced that they too will be carrying the iPhone 3G.
Phil Johnston, the Director of Wireless Solutions for Best Buy Canada Ltd said: “The iPhone is a revolutionary product that has changed the way people think about their mobile phone and we are pleased to be able to help Canadians get their hands on one of the hottest new products introduced in Canada this year. We want Canadians to know that they can count on Best Buy Mobile for the latest and greatest in mobile technology.”
Depending on availability and supply Best Buy plans to sell the iPhone 3G for $199 (8GB) and $299 (16GB)… Of course, with that you’ll have to sign up for the loooong 3-year contract from Rogers or Fido.
I also found it interesting that Best Buy up in Canada was obviously prepping their site for the iPhone. If you check out this page, they were obviously trying to get some traffic flow and more for the iPhone in prep for the launch!
