The BlackBerry Pearl Flip was spotted in dummy form at T-Mobile stores late last week, and go figure we’re seeing an official announcement today. As RIM’s first big departure in form factor, the BlackBerry 8220 promises to break some ground in new markets – namely the feature phone crowd used to flips. Despite the form factor change, it has all the goodies of your standard BlackBerry (web browsing, e-mail, music) with the additional bonus of Wi-Fi and an external LCD screen to check notifications at a glance. You can grab the BlackBerry Pearl flip in black (red coming soon) from the T-Mobile online store for $149.99 on two-year contract here. Rogers customers can sit tight – they’ll be getting it soon too.
