LG KC780 is coming to the UK in November (most probably)

I have 8 Megapixels.... I am KC780!

I have 8 Megapixels....

We’ve mentioned the KC780 before (here and here), but the update for all you UK readers is that it’s coming here soon – most probably in November!

Assuming it goes official, this means that there will be five top-spec 8MP camera phones in the retail market before Christmas – and to think that barely a year ago we were all gawping over 5MP…..

In case you are wondering which other devies are packing the 8MP and butting up against the KC780, you have the Samsung i8510 and Pixon, the Sony Ericsson C905, and the LG Renoir.

Quite how we are expected to differentiate between all this MP-related goodness I don’t know, but I would suspect how the device looks, and how the UI is in each device, will probably be the tell-tale deciders.

Price and availability are still TBC, but I think we can rely on LG to deliver, especially in time for the all-important Christmas replacement/gift/upgrade market….!
