Fans of LG’s consumer-oriented touchscreen-toting cameraphone will be happy to hear that the LG Dare has just gone official on Canada’s Telus network. Better yet, the LG Dare is available to Canadian customers for a smidge under $100 with a 3-year contract obligation to Telus.

The LG Dare sports an iPhone-esque proximity sensor, packs a 3.2 megapixel camera (with auto-focus, flash, and face-detection), Bluetooth A2DP, EVDO Rev. A, full-HTML browser, and microSD card slot. Of course, the generous 3-inch touchscreen WQVGA (240×400) with haptic feedback is the main attraction for the LG Dare.

Touchscreens are all the rage these days, but who says that all touchscreen handsets have to be smartphones? The LG Dare proves that the large touchscreen is just as well suited for a multimedia cameraphone packed to the brim with all the latest mobile bells and whistles.

Telus is offering the LG Dare for $100 on a 3-year contract, but will be happy to sell you an LG Dare for $200 on 2-year contract, $300 on 1-year contract, or $350 to purchase the LG Dare free and clear of any wireless contract-obligations.
