WhosHere has announced that their social networking app for iPhone and iPod Touch have reached 100,000 users in more than 100 countries in just over 100 days.

What exactly is WhosHere? Here’s how they present it:

WhosHere is a social proximity application focused on enabling users to meet friends, potential dates or just network through an exceptionally simple interface. Simply answer a few questions about yourself and who you are interested in meeting and WhosHere will show you matches that are near you or anywhere in the world. It takes the chance out of the chance encounter. When you find someone you want to talk with, you can send unlimited, free text and image messages to them within the WhosHere application.

As for the new version, WhosHere 0.99 expands the My Profile section and allows users to share four profile pictures and much more information about their interests…

Who’s Here should be renamed to “Dude’s Here.”

I tried it and I think it is creepy unless you are a gay man

This is a GREAT app. If it catches on it will totally revolutionize the way people meet people. I hope it catches on. They need some television publicity or a tv ad.
