World’s First Software Unlock of the iPhone 3G Caught on Video

Did you happen to catch the streaming Qik demonstration put on by MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team earlier today? If you didn’t, you can check out a replay above. In the video, MuscleNerd goes ahead and shows us the world’s first software unlock of the iPhone 3G. The unlock software is dubbed ‘yellowsn0w’, and by the looks of things it is going to work absolutely beautifully. In the video MuscleNerd logs into his iPhone 3G via terminal… But for all of us non-programming savvy folks that want to run the unlock… yellowsn0w will be released to the public on New Years’ Eve.
