Woohoo! For those of you that love to eat Sushi, there’s a new iPhone App (coming by the end of the month) that you’re going to have to download. As far as I can tell, it will be titled ‘The Sushi Encyclopedia’ and will be put out by the Japanese publishing house Shogakukan.
The initial offering will give us 82 descriptions of different types of sushi, complete with pictures. 82 doesn’t seem like a whole lot to me, especially for an ‘encyclopedia’
The sad bit is (for most of us outside of Japan) that the first edition will be available in Japanese only. The English version should be (hoping) soon to follow. I’d also look for frequent updates to the app to provide more types of sushi, pictures, even locations of sushi restaurants worldwide… That could be helpful.
The Sushi Encyclopedia should sell for around $5 USD. Stay tuned for this one… it’s coming soon… Yum!
While I’m on the topic of Sushi, there are already 2 apps in the App Store dealing with Sushi.
The first is Sushi City… It’s a game where you have to serve up sushi as fast as you can to waiting customers. You can pick it up for $0.99 in the App Store (iTunes Link Alert!)
The second is Sushi Addict. It’s an app that lets you find locations and directions to the sushi restaurant nearest you. You can pick this one up for $0.99 in the App Store as well (iTunes Link Alert!).
