Unify4Life, the guys who just announced Garage|Shadow and AV|Shadow, are showing off their next product, Play|Shadow, which lets you remotely control your Playstation 3 gaming console via BlackBerry. Due to land in April for $40, the USB dongle will communicate Bluetooth-stylie to you BlackBerry and allow both text and menu navigation. There’s an official accessory which will allow you to type away on your regular ol’ controller, but they cost upwards of $40 anyway and adds significant beef to the SixAxis, so why not use a keypad you’re already used to? It is a little curious why the dongle is necessary, since the PS3 has Bluetooth anyway, but who knows how locked-down it is.
