Archdiocese of St. Louis to announce new archbishop via SMS

Don’t you love how mobile technology is entering all spheres of our lives? That being said I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Archdiocese of Saint Louis will use SMS to share news of the naming of a new archbishop, when he is announced.

If you’re in the area and/or care to be one of the first to know the name of the next Archbishop of Saint Louis, all you need to do is use this sign-up form. Once there, enter your first name and mobile phone number, and you’ll get a text message as soon as the announcement is made, with the Archbishop’s name and more information. Nice!
