ea-logoYay, a small sliver of good news in what is largely financial losses and job losses at the moment… EA Mobile have managed to increase revenue by 23% in it’s Q3 which ended Dec 31 2008, resulting in a figure of $48m. Apparently Mobile accounted for 7% of revenues across all platforms.

Whilst this area of EA, and the group in general, had good revenues, the business as a whole is apparently readying for job cuts after a $641m loss in the same quarter. I guess what we don’t see it the write-downs and other costs that are occurring in the background :-(

Well I am hoping EA (being one of the brightest lights in gaming on all-platforms) is going to be able to push through, and carrying on delivering some of the excellent stuff I’ve been playing over the last year. Count Mobile games in that too!

He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently became a father for the second time – as oppose to in his younger years when he was happy spend time tweaking all manner of mobile devices to 'nth' degree, he now looks for services and hardware that provide the most efficient, compact, and reliable improvements to his already manic life! It’s his opinion that Mobile solutions should be there to help to make your life better – if a particular solution (be it service or device) isn’t doing this, he believes you need to ask the very important question of why you continue to use it...
