millionaire-iphoneWhile awakening this morning (and half-concious) I decided to pop open the Apple App Store to see if there were any new free ‘Lite’ games worth trying. One in particular that caught my eye was ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ Lite. I downloaded it immediately and shuddered to think how poorly I was about to do while in my semi-slumbering state.

After popping open the game, I was actually a little bit impressed with the whole look of the app. Attention to detail was clearly given… and there’s even a short intro video with Meredith Viera exclaiming ‘Let’s Play Millionaire’… With all of the suspense-building music in the background that you’ve come to love.

The only bad thing about this, well… you can only make it up to $2,000 before the game forces you to buy the full version… Hence the ‘Lite’ status. This is a brilliant ‘Lite’ game in my opinion, as it just gives you enough of a taste before leaving you high and dry, with a ‘purchase’ link right smack-dab in the middle of your face. Well done to the developers at Capcom Interactive.

I don’t think I’m going to pick up the full version, however, any true fan of Millionaire will want to pick up this title for sure. It’s available right now in the App Store for $4.99. You can also try the ‘Lite’ version for free right here.

Note: I actually did make it to the $2,000 level without getting a question wrong or using any of my ‘lifelines’. Guess I wasn’t THAT tired :P
