Xumii iPhone app

The mobile social address book, Xumii, has recently released a free application for the Apple iPhone. Those not familiar should know that Xumii brings your contacts from social networks (like Facebook, MySpace, imeem, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, MSN and Flickr) to a single address book. As a result, you can see everyone’s status in one place and chat and share photos with friends across and between different networks.

In a nutshell, Xumii for iPhone allows users to:

  • See all their friends from the iPhone, Facebook, MySpace, imeem, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, MSN and Flickr in one place
  • See who’s online and available to chat
  • Update their status once for ALL communities, or individually for each network
  • See everyone else’s status updates in one place
  • Grab a photo from their iPhone, Facebook, MySpace or Flickr account and share it with a friend on IM

Want it? Here’s an AppStore link. Alternatively, you may want to check out Xumii in action. A short video follows after the jump.

Dusan Belic

Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do. In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application. Dusan used to run SymbianWatch.com which later became part of IntoMobile. He lives in Serbia, South-East Europe, from where he edits the site on a daily basis.

Is there any software downloads that allow I Phone 3GS to receive businees cards- contact infromation sent from a phone by a text message other than Apple based so it can add the infromation straight to the contacts folder?
