Samsung, LG To Have a Strong Showing in US Market This Year

south_koreaSouth Korean device manufacturers are set to take a huge chunk of the US market in 2009. This new information comes from Taiwanese market sources via DigiTimes:

“Samsung and LGE have continued to increase their penetration in the US handset market since 2008, and the two companies are expected to grab the top and second spots respectively in the US this year”

If you work for Samsung or LG, or simply love the handsets they push out… This will no doubt be music to your ears. Samsung in particular is looking to hold a 25% market share in the US in 2009… Up a tad from 23.7% in Q4, 2008.
