The puzzle game ‘iTraffic Free’ from Christian Bonnin has climbed to the #1 spot in the free apps section in the App Store (at least from where I sit, up here in Canada!). The app is the free version of ‘iTraffic Jam’ (available for $0.99) also from Christian Bonnin.

The object of the game is to clear your red car out of the traffic jam by moving other cars out of the way. Drive your car through the yellow goal arrow to complete the level and move on to the next. Many variations of this game are around for other devices, but this is the first I’ve seen for the iPhone.

You can also create your own custom levels by touching and dragging areas on the screen to create cars. The first car you create will be your own red car… and each touch/drag will create a new parked car that you’ll need to move out of the way.

The big difference between the paid and free version of course is the amount of gameplay you’ll get out of it. In iTraffic Free you’ll get 10 ‘traffic jams’ to solve, while the full version features around 600 levels for hours and hours of gameplay. If you enjoy the free version, and want more… Be sure to show some developer love by picking up the full version for $0.99 (iTunes Link).

You can get iTraffic Free right here (iTunes Link).
