Fido customers, get ready for some frustrating news regarding the discount carriers’ Hardware Upgrade Program (HUP). Effective immediately, Fido has made some changes to the length of their renewal period. If you are a customer that signed up before November 4th, 2008, you can now only renew within 180 days (6 months) from the expiration of your contract. Before this change, it was a 420 day (14 months) grace period. Bad dog Fido, bad dog. I’m predicting a lot of anger and complaints from Fido customers from Vancouver to Halifax.
