I suppose it was only a matter of time before an App was created to help us all stay on top of the ‘Swine Flu’ news and announcements. The developers at IntuApps currently have a new app titled ‘Swine Flu Tracker’ submitted to Apple. The app is currently under review, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it makes it through in a timely manner.

The Swine Flu is a serious situation, and while I do appreciate the time and effort put in to help others stay on top of the latest…I only hope the folks at IntuApps have the common sense and decency to not charge anything for the app! It’d be a shame for developers to take advantage of such an unfortunate circumstances.

While we wait for the potential release of this one, you can check out some screenshots below. One has to admit, the app looks really useful.

Side Note: Another useful resource is this handy Google Map. It plots locations of confirmed infections, probable infections, suspect infectinos and fatal cases of the Swine Flu.
