Samsung S5600 Preston and S5230 Star

Samsung decided that two of their latest touchscreen phones, S5600 and S5230, could have better names, hence as part of their “available now” press release, they renamed the two to Preston (S5600) and Star (S5230).

Speaking of availability – the Korean company said the Samsung Star S5230 should be available any day in Europe, Middle East Africa, Asia and Latin America; while the Samsung Preston S5600 will be available later in the month in Europe and Asia, only.

Final note – Samsung seems to like complicating things with the naming of their phones. We’ve already talked about how the S5230 will be offered as Samsung Tocco Lite in UK, and now we’re hearing they’ll sell it as Samsung Avila in Poland. Similarly, the S5600 is Samsung Halley in Italy and Samsung Player in France. Go figure.
