The Windows Marketplace is now officially open to developers. Microsoft had previously announced Marketplace guidelines and welcomed developers to start coding WinMo apps for the Marketplace, but it was this past Monday that developers were allowed to officially register for Windows Marketplace for Mobile.
WinMo developers will find all the tools they need to develop and publish Windows Mobile applications in the Marketplace throughout the registration process. If you’re a dev, you’ll want to sign up for Marketplace as soon as possible. The rest of us consumers will just keep waiting for Microsoft to go live with Windows Mobile 6.5 and Marketplace for Mobile.
