Samsung Russia has juts announced the C3060R, a phone dedicated to giving those in their golden years a chance to get connected. Big keys, bright backlight, a magnified user interface and a dedicated SOS button which accesses up to 5 emergency numbers all make the C3060R a choice handset for the mature crowd.  Pictures taken from the 1.3 megapixel camera are used only for wallpapers and contacts (no Bluetooth or transferring to a PC), but considering the target audience, there’s no need to get too complicated. All of the basic functions like SMS, calendar, address book and an FM tuner are there, and should be enough for your average granny. The C3060R will run about 2000 rubles, or $US 60 at launch, so it’ll be well within reach for lower-income elders. For a closer look, check out this translated review straight from The Motherland.
