By now we got used to idea that everything and anything has an iPhone app. Take a company called Munera as example. They’re out with the application called Send a Prayer, the Western Wall, which allows users to send their prayers to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, directly from their shiny handset or an iPod Touch.
Apparently, prayers written with the application will be printed out in Jerusalem and concealed between the stones of the Western Wall in less than 48 hours. Moreover, users will be able to email their prayers or twitter directly from the app.
Once a prayer is sent, you can see how it flies to Jerusalem on an interactive 3D globe…
For the record, the Western Wall which also known as the Wailing Wall or the Kotel in Hebrew, is located in Jerusalem and is one of the most significant spiritual sites in the world. It is the last remnant of the Second Temple, which stood in Jerusalem between 516 BCE and 70 CE, when it was destroyed by the Romans. Millions of people from all over the world gather at the Western Wall every day to pray for peace, prosperity and well-being. It is a centuries’ long tradition for people to write notes of prayer and place them between the ancient stones of the Wall.
