Palm is really going all out in their Palm Pre marketing blitz. In addition to the attention-deficited Palm Pre commercials from Sprint, full-page newspaper ads and the kinda creepy Palm Pre ads starring Tamara Hope, Palm has enlisted the help of an online comic series that complement’s AMC’s “The Prisoner” mini-series. The comic follows some sort of amnesiac “prisoner” who’s on a mission to find out who he is. We’re not sure what the show/comic is all about, but that’s not what’s important. What’s important is the fact that the comic is sponsored by “Palm Pre,” so it’s only natural that Palm would want to include an image of the Palm Pre at the end of the comic’s first edition.

As you can see above, the Palm Pre is clearly a big part of the comic. The comic mentions that a PDF version of the comic is available for download, and not-so-subtly plugs the Palm Pre as the smartphone of choice for reading online comics. Of course, you could just as easily download the PDF file to your non-WebOS smartphone. Just don’t tell Palm.
