LongHorn Steakhouse iPhone app

LongHorn Steakhouse is expanding its latest “Discover the West in You” ad campaign to mobile screens. Actually, it’s the iPhone and iPod Touch screens, only, but that’s not bad for a start.

Anyway, the “stereoscopic 3D application” features a steak that can be flipped up to four times, and with the aid of 3-D glasses, in 3-dimension and stereoscope… And that’s about all we got from the official press release — everything else is pure PR BS.

The game (if you can call it like that) is sorta, kinda fun to try it out few times and then delete it, leaving room for other apps. It’s free and you can grab it from here. (iTunes link)

LongHorn Steakhouse’s ad agency Grey New York designed the application and announced it. From their press release — where they say the AppStore is “home to 25,000 apps” — we clearly see they are super-new to the mobile world. When iPhone 3GS was announced, AppStore surpassed 50,000 apps, and now it’s at around 65,000 and counting. Get some fresh info folks, follow IntoMobile. ;)
