Brief: Attention France: You can preorder the Nokia N900 for 649€; Italy and Germany: 600€

Last Friday I told our IntoMobile readers in Italy and Germany that they could preorder the Nokia N900.

Today, the French now have a shot at securing the first Cortex A8 powered device from Nokia. Sadly, thanks to higher taxes due to socialized medicine and a 35 hour work week, along with 6 weeks a year of holiday, the French have to pay 649€ versus 600€ in Italy and Germany.

This leaves me thinking: What about the UK and Finland (Nokialand)? Oh and of course the Americans at some point.

It’s a joke. I live in Finland mate, the taxes here are higher than France. We have socialized medicine, free healthcare and only 5 weeks of holiday ;-)

I was expecting more Americans to come in and harrumph about how great their low taxes and 50 hour work weeks were. Oh well.
