Verizon will be adding a new Nokia device to its portfolio. The date is set for September 13th, when interested users living near “select NYC locations” will be able to grab the uber-weird looking Nokia 7705 Twist for $149.99 after rebates and with a contract. Rest of the U.S. will have to wait for the 21st, in case they’re still interested for purchase.
Specs wise, we’re talking about a handset that rocks swivel QWERTY keyboard, 3-megapixel camera, EV-DO Rev. 0 connectivity, full web browser, GPS, and so on. The problem is in the mentioned weird look and feel the Twist emits. Maybe it’s the Twist’s square-ish touch but I don’t like it at all, and honestly – I don’t see many people lining up to grab it on the launch day nor afterwards…
