Both Palm and Apple took swings at each other today, not only with the Pixi trying to steal some of the new iPod’s thunder, but apparently the aforementioned iTunes 9 update breaks webOS media syncing on the Palm Pre. It’s not what you’d call surprising, considering the history, but certainly a letdown for those who want to check out the new features and are packing the Pre. If you find yourself in a bind over the situation and haven’t updated to iTunes 9 yet, it’s probably best to hold off until a fix is in place, possibly in version 1.2.
