Samsung SGH-T401G

TracFone (and possibly Walmart?) will be adding a new low-end device specially tailored for heavy texters. It’s the Samsung SGH-T401G, which as you can see from the image above, boasts both a numeric keypad and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Rest of the specs include a 1.3-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), music player and a microSD memory card slot. Pricing is unknown at the moment, and I couldn’t access TracFone’s website at the moment of this writing to check whether there are some additional details available — their website was “under maintenance.” If you hear something new on the subject, don’t hesitate to drop us a line in the comments form bellow, k?

Got this phone for $45 at best buy for black friday.

    Love it.

Does anyone know if there is an application for the phone to install on the computer? I’m trying to install games. Sending .jar and .jad via bluetooth does not work.

I’m thinking you may have to install some program like other phones, and install from the PC using the USB cable.

    Please help!

Lovin this phone right now. SUPER cheap with the Net10 unlimited plan for only 50 bucks a month which is pretty ridiculous. The slide-out keyboard works great and the feel of the phone is pretty robust considering the quality of other low cost messaging phones. You can access the internet and everything but it doesn’t have full browser support. I got mine for only 80 bucks from the Net10 site and it hasn’t let me down once.

Just went to Walmart last month and got the Samsung SGH-T401G, and my $50 unlimited plan. So far no hidden fees, just $35 off my previous plan. I get to text and talk all I want, I have no contract and no early termination fee, I can leave whenever I want, but at this point I don’t think that will be for a while. TracFone is really is awesome.
