LG Mobile Phones creates marketing campaign Avatar to promote the eXpo

In an effort to get some additional exposure for its brand and its newly announced handset – eXpo, LG Mobile Phones — in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment — has created a multi-faceted marketing campaign for the highly anticipated epic adventure film – Avatar.

The campaign consists of several elements:

  • A TV spot that features the “Avatar” movie trailer footage being projected from the recently announced LG eXpo.
  • Interactive micro site (www.lgexpo.com), which includes exclusive movie content from the movie as well as all the details about the eXpo.
  • Facebook page and exclusive apps – joint-sponsored between FOX, MTV and LG.

And that’s about all we have on this. There are no doubts in my mind the LG eXpo is an interesting device. That detachable projector can come quite handy in some situations, and I’m hoping to see something like that available with more devices from multiple handset makers. Now that would be something… ;)
