Wine DJ iPhone app

Family-run wine producer from Paso Robles, Hope Family Wines, is “going iPhone” with an application called Wine DJ. Think of it as Pandora based on wine – it sources music from GrooveShark.com to build a playlist of “Music to Match Your Spirits.” In addition, you can additionally tweak sliders to adjust variables that correspond with your current situation. You can choose from settings such as “Candle Light/Strobe Light” and “Flying Solo/Entourage” and the app will stream a custom-made playlist.

Moreover, Wine DJ comes bundled with extensive information on Liberty School including tasting notes (both “what the people say” and “what the experts say”) and a map feature that shows the nearest retailers who carry the wine.

Finally, Hope Family Wines says their application is “compatible” with several wines they produce: Liberty School, Candor and Treana. You can grab Wine DJ free of charge from here. (iTunes)
