16 year old Honors Student, meaning she is supposed to be bright, in trouble over sexting

When I was in High School, from the bits I remember when I wasn’t busy smoking pot or having sex in the back seat of my Jeep Cherokee, being an Honors Student meant that you were bright enough to show up to class everyday, studied hard enough to score 90% on your tests, and respectful enough to make eye contact with your teacher. Times must have changed, and morals must have declined, because a 16 year old girl from Plainfield East High School who just so happens to be considered bright by her peers, and several meaningless standardized exams, has managed to send a nude photo of herself to a boy and then have said picture go viral across campus.

Police have confiscated 9 mobile phones already and have said that this whole sexting thing is “starting to become more and more of a problem”. They estimate that of the 1300 students attending the High School several hundreds of them have received the image. If there is a lesson to this story it’s that if you’re a 16 year old girl and you like a boy you should simply invite him over to your house, take off all your clothes, and then let him fondle you. That way the worst thing that can happen to you is he tells all of his friends and you’ll be known as a slut until the day you graduate. Better than being found guilty of child pornography and being labeled a sex offender until the day you die.
