So, Ford is adding another mobile-friendly feature to their sync system that will act as a great connection between satellite radio and your iPhone. Basically, while listening to HD (or sirius) radio, you can smack a “TAG” button on the display, and it will save the track info for future reference. After you’ve got a sizeable batch saved (up to 100), you can plug in your iPod/iPhone and transfer the tagged tracks for buying on iTunes later. This is apparently the first automotive application of this kind of system, but it’s easy to imagine other data-friendly radio streams offering similar functions in the near future. Between this iTunes announcement and Wi-Fi sharing through mobile broadband, Ford looks like they’re going to have an exciting CES next week.
