What happens when you take one of the most popular series of games available for the iPhone… create a new edition, and offer it for free? You get a whole whackload of downloads and gameplay is what you get.
I received a note this morning regarding the latest ‘Tap Tap Revenge’ game, namely the free ‘Tap Tap Revenge 3‘ app. In the note some holiday download/install numbers for ‘TTR 3′ were touched upon. Here they are:
- 2 million installs of Tap Tap Revenge 3 since it went free
- On Xmas over 700k installs vs. 200k last Xmas
- Tap Tap Revenge 3 is now the #1 free app in the store.
Impressive. Tap Tap Revenge 3 has been offered for free since last Wednesday (Xmas Eve). Not sure when the game is going back to paid ($0.99), so grab your copy now (iTunes link) if you haven’t already!
