Last May, we got an early look at The Sims 3 for the iPhone.  It looks like EA Mobile is bringing the Sims 3 expansion pack, The Sims 3: World Adventures, to the iPhone as a standalone game.

The Sims 3: World Adventures for the iPhone allows players to take their Sim to different locales around the world.  No longer will your Sim be tied down to work and play in a small town as you can take your Sim to Egypt, France, and China.  The Sims 3: World Adventures features 52 new goals, 4 new mini-games, as well as some added personas, careers, and quests.  Not only is the Sim world expanded, but you’ll also be able to update your Sim’s old look with new clothes, furniture, and even some new face types.  Best of all, EA is making it possible to transfer your Sim from The Sims 3 into The Sims 3: World Adventures.

No further information was given in terms of either a release date or price, but The Sims 3 for iPhone currently retails for $6.99, so I’m sure the game will be somewhere around that price.
