The Boy Genius Ninjas have managed to score a screenshot that shows iPhone OS 4.0 along with a list of upcoming features that will probably be announced on January 27. Multitasking support is included, multitouch will play a greater role throughout the operating system, and navigation will be “more efficient”. Expect leaks and rumours like this to start coming out by the proverbial truckload. This always happens when there is an Apple event right around the corner.
Oh and one more thing, Boy Genius says that iPhone OS 4.0 is only for iPhone 3G and 3GS models. That would leave people who purchased an iPhone between the summer of 2007 and the summer of 2008 out of luck. Let’s hope he is wrong about that one.
