iphone-whitehouse Hey, Yanks – there’s a new iPhone app out there for the politically-minded, straight from the White House. Live video streams of White House events, weekly addresses from The Fearless Leader, and feeds from the official White House blog and briefing room are all included on the free app. For those without an iPhone, a mobile site site with all the fixings will be launching soon at mobile.whitehouse.gov. Obama has already made a name for himself as being tech-savvy, but it’s good to see that love of mobile spreading to the rest of the White House.

Canada-wap This app got me wondering about what we’re offering up here in Canada, thinking we’re also a hip, connected country with a like-minded government. Turns out we have this vibrant and useful WAP page, and that’s about it. Sigh. For those so inclined, you can download the White House App for iPhone for free from iTunes.
