And the latest carrier to join the price wars is… Page Plus Cellular, which is known for its prepaid cell phone service. The company issued another slashing of the prices announcement — actually that’s more minutes for the same price deal, but that’s effectively the price slashing “scheme” as far as I can tell.
Anyway, previously the rates ranged between $.06 and $.12 per minute, depending on the denomination of the refill card. Now with more minutes being added to each card, the per-minute rate is $.04 to $.10.
To sum things up, the refill cards will now provide $25 for 400 minutes, $50 for 1,000 minutes, and $80 for 2,000 minutes. In addition, Page Plus is also offering the prepaid monthly plans that bundle voice, text and data – $39.95 per month Unlimited Talk n Text, and $29.95 per month Talk n Text 1200.
