AnyDATA, which is hardly a known handset maker (then again we did cover their earlier products), announced two Windows Mobile smartphones for carrier distribution – the ASP-318 and ASP-518. Let’s briefly talk about each of the two devices, specs wise:

  • ASP-318 – quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM/EDGE connectivity, 3.2-inch QVGA touchscreen, GPS, 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, FM radio, dual SIM, SRS TruMedia audio and a microSD memory card slot. The device will be commercially available in Q2 2010 and will be marketed as the iMedia smartphone.
  • ASP-518 – dual-band 3G, 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen, WiFi, 4GB of built-in storage, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, front-facing camera for video calls, dual SIM (works on both CDMA and GSM networks), SRS TruMedia audio and a microSD memory card slot. This one is currently marketed by China Telecom utilizing the well-known Phillips brand.

Finally, if you want to see these two phones in real-life, AnyDATA will show them (along with other products) at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Their booth is C102 in Hall 2.
