
Sprint is teaming up with GetJar to bring more than 60,000 free apps from GetJar’s catalog to its users. Under the deal, Sprint has linked to GetJar catalog from its mobile portal (in the “downloads” category) and I’m guessing this is only the first step – the final deal should involve making a private-label store for Sprint. We know GetJar is offering that service and that it is being used by some other carriers and handset makers.
And before you start clicking and downloading all the apps you want, Sprint wants you to know that some apps may require an additional charge. Casual data charges of $0.03/kb and standard text messaging charges will apply to customers not on a plan with unlimited data or text messaging…
