Sierra Wireless unveiled a new USB modem AirCard 312U, offering download speeds of up to 42 Mbps. The trick is in using dual-carrier HSPA+ technology, which effectively doubles the speeds of devices currently available. The new modem will be launched later in the year and the first carrier to offer it is Australia’s Telstra.
