Waze, the service behind the driver-generated maps and real-time road information for commuters, launched an updated version of its application/service to include contributor scoreboard and personalized alternative routes. The latter is especially handy feature as it allows drivers to know what’s happening on their alternative routes, and eventually take the other road. Waze does this by providing drivers with the ability to add their preferred routes for common destinations, and then use that information to show what’s happening on alternative routes, including system-calculated alternatives.
As for the mentioned scoreboard, it’s made to give some glory to most contributing users, so they could see how they stack up against others commuters in the area… And you can get additional information, including download instructions from Waze’s website.
