Tether for BlackBerry is a killer app that lets you for all intents and purposes use your BlackBerry as a modem. Simply use it to access the internet on your PC via your BlackBerry’s data connection. As long as you have service, you’re golden. VERY handy when you’re on the go, especially if you’re checked into that hotel where they’re going to charge you an arm and a leg for internet service, or you find yourself away from the office and need to bang out some work on the fly.

Getting back to the topic at-hand, Tether has been updated to version 1.1.0.2. Nothing crazy new and exciting here, but existing users may want to update. The user interface is said to be improved (faster), and a smattering of bug fixes should make this build just a touch more stable and enjoyable.

Tether works on both PCs and Macs, is easy to setup, and is compatible with all BlackBerry devices. All that is required is BlackBerry OS 4.5.0.83 or newer.
