Nokia UK is announcing the Nokia Coast to Coast – a spectacular and exhilarating event which traverses one of the British Isles most famous mountain landscapes by bike, foot and boat. The event is set to take place in some of the most iconic locations and amazing views of the Scottish Highlands – Loch Ness, Glen Coe, the Great Glen, Fort William and Ben Nevis. The experience is open to all adventurers from today.

Taking place between 18 and 19 September 2010, Nokia Coast to Coast is a true point-to-point journey. Participants can complete the course over 2 days, or the super-keen can attempt the whole route in 1 day on the Sunday.

Event Director Jim Mee said “Nokia Coast to Coast is an event you really have to experience to believe. It’s all about accessing the natural environment in a series of unique ways and enjoying the great outdoors with family and friends. It’s difficult to say whether the sights – or the event itself – will take more of your breath away!”

Nokia Brand Manager Chris Jones said “The fantastic thing about Nokia Coast to Coast is that it’s both challenging and accessible. Not only does the event connect people, it also connects them with their natural surroundings in a profound way. We are extremely proud to be able to offer the chance for people to get involved in this fantastic adventure”.

The Nokia Coast to Coast is the first of The Nokia Outdoor Series to be announced for 2010. The Nokia Outdoor Series is a selection of events designed to celebrate the great outdoors and enable people and their friends to enjoy being active in some of the UK’s most spectacular locations.
