Dove Foundation — which despite the popular belief has no relation to Unilever, manufacturer of Dove brand soap — is out with its own iPhone application that brings the organization’s web content to the palm of your hand.

It’s called Dove Family Approved, and just like their website, it’s made to help folks pick family-friendly movies, whether to rent, buy or watch in a theatre. Think some flick is cool? Before you take your kid to the show / rent or buy that DVD, consult the application and see what experts from Dove have to say about it.

“Many families who rely on our online reviews asked us to make them available in a mobile format,” said Dove CEO, Dick Rolfe.

A company called Six Voices helped Dove develop the application, which is readily waiting for anyone interested in the AppStore.

And if you didn’t know, the Dove Foundation is a national nonprofit organization founded in 1991 with mission to encourage and promote family-friendly entertainment.
